Calling the restaurant "Umā" comes from the idea of gourmet cuisine without borders, a restaurant where the customer can experience travelling through food. The word Umā has many meanings, such as delicious, appetizing, intelligent and joy. The concept behind our cuisine is based on a BISTRONOMIC model or BISTRONOMY, a concept that defines the fusion between a bistro, that classic cuisine of the good product and a gastronomy in which we allow ourselves to apply current and avant-garde techniques to make a more personal culinary experience.

Zzer lekkere en lichte lunch, aangeraden glas wijn van kwaliteit, aangenaam kader. Jammer geen woordje Nederlands in de keurige maar onpefsoonlijke bediening. Misschien tikje karig voor de prijs > een extraatje qua hapje bvb had niet misstaan

Elk gerecht is verfijnd, origineel, een streling voor de smaakpapillen. De lunch is een aanrader. Drie keer geweest en telkens héél tevreden. Zeer professionele en vriendelijke bediening ook.

Alas, a true disappointment from the appetizers...

Alas, a true disappointment from the appetizers to dessert. Well, not all the way to dessert, because we ultimately decided not to have it. A so-called salmon gravlax that was nothing of the sort, served with a raw vegetable (?) that was bland, unappealing in both appearance and taste. The 'Coucou de Malines' was overcooked and completely dry, the sauce excessively salty, and the portions ridiculously small (especially for the price). The service was decent but not well-briefed about the dishes being served. The atmosphere was very noisy despite the relatively small dining room. In short, we won’t be going back.

Het restaurant was zeer lekker, gezellig en toffe, ietwat modernere muziek. Alleen jammer dat ik niet kon terugvinden of de persoon die ik had uitgenodigd de uitnodiging wel had ontvangen en/of gelezen. Een tweede minpuntje was dat het personeel voor de inkom rookten en hun peuk op de grond gooiden , jammer toch.
