About this restaurant
Mieken Smet is chief Matthias Willems' great-grandmother, the latter. 104 years ago she started a café here where you could order just about the tastiest eel in green with bread. Matthias is the 4th generation that honors her legendary specialty in 6 different ways. The menu also features many more seasonally inspired dishes that are well worth trying. In these parts, you should at least try the Lokeren horse sausages at Mieken Smet in Moerbeke.
