Restaurant Pieter Pourbus is named after the painter 'Pieter Pourbus', who lived in this house during the period of the'Flemish Primitives'. The cosy restaurant is part of a historic house, built in 1561 and is very well located in the centre of Bruges: at 100 meter from the old theatre and 200 meter from the market square.

Uitstekende plek, mooi relatief klein restaurant met aandachtige personeelsleden. Leuk ingericht, erg sfeervol. Daarnaast ook prima wijnen en fantastisch eten. Wij namen de Chateaubriand ( for 2 ) en n was erg goed van smaak en perfect gegaard. De neem ik aan in huis gemaakt sauzen erbij ( peper rn champignon saus ) waren beide ook erg lekker.

The staff and the food were excellent! The male front of house staff that was working in the evening of the 29th of November made our visit very special. His knowledge of the food and wine was excellent. He couldn’t have done enough for us. The food was some of the nicest food we’ve had for a long time and an excellent menu selection. My first time trying sweetbreads and they were delicious. We will definitely visit again if we return to Bruges.
