CONGRATULATIONS ! YOU HAVE MADE IT TO THE VERTIGO RESTAURANT AND COCKTAIL BAR, ALTHOUGH WELL HIDDEN BEHIND THE " ESTRILLE DU VIEUX BRUXELLES ". THIS HISTORIC MONUMENT, OLDEST HOSTEL IN TOWN WAS A MEETING PLACE FOR HORSE RIDING VISITORS, A CROSSROAD OF PHILOSOPHICAL IDEAS AND A CABARET. IN THE COURTYARD, WHEN YOU ENTER ON YOUR RIGHT, YOU WILL FIND THE ENTRANCE OF AN OLD SECRET UNDERGROUND TUNNEL, NOWADAYS SEALED. IT LED SMUGGLERS CLANDESTINELY UNDER THE BARRIER OF BRUSSELS IN ORDER TO ENTER THE CITY. WELCOME IN THE BRUSSELS HIDING PLACE OF THE LEFT UNSAID !

Off the beaten path. Quiet courtyard as well as lovely interior. Limited menu but food was tasty. Great for drinks and apps.

Déçue du service… 1/ pour un bar à cocktail...

Déçue du service… 1/ pour un bar à cocktail la carte est extrêmement limitée et dépassée 2/ le personnel ne semble pas formé au service bar et vous apporte votre boisson sans sous-verre ni serviette ( bonjour les gouttes sur les vêtements) pas de présentation de la boisson choisie, ni de récupération des verres vides à la seconde commande (nous avons du mettre les verres au sol)… Nous irons donc dans une meilleure maison la prochaine fois!

Service attentif Carte variée Bémol : pas de boisson chaude servie après 18h30 (alors qu'elles l'étaient avant). La boîte de lait est néanmoins restée hors du frigo sous nos yeux, à côté de la machine à café, le tuyau de ladite machine plongé dans la boîte pour préparer les futurs lattés ou capuccinos. Un excellent moyen d'obtenir du lait tourné...
