About this restaurant
Once an inn for weary travelers, this establishment has regained its glory as an authentic "estaminet" for all those who wish to quench their thirst or hunger, while enjoying a piece of history far older than Belgium. Under the cornice, between two windows, Mother Spider has been watching over us since 1762, bringing us good luck. And if you lend an ear, you might hear the gentle rustle of the little arm of the Senne that flowed here until the 19th century. Or perhaps it's the last sighs coming from the 16th-century Chartreuse, once located just across the street?

Gezellige aangename zaak met lokale gerechten. Vriendelijke maar chaotische bediening, best grappig... Wel wat teleurgesteld met de Choesels waar ik speciaal was voor langsgekomen. Was héél lekker maar bestond uit 50% gehaktballetjes, 25% rundshart en de rest wat choesels en champignons... het hoofdingrediënt kwam amper aan bod, jammer... Maar voor de rest een aanrader, de spinnenkop van mijn vriendin was perfect gebakken.
