About this restaurant
Located near Brussels Expo (home to many companies), the Atomium and the Royal Palace, Restaurant La Pergola is a well-known address in the northern outskirts of Brussels. The chef's menu features great classics and brasserie dishes, to be sampled in a typical Art Déco interior. On the menu, Belgian specialties, fine French cuisine with fish and meat, some pasta preparations, nice salads. Seasonal suggestions and mussels can also be found on the menu. At noon, a quick lunch and brunch 'à volonté' on Sundays between 11h30 and 16h00. Since 2002, the decor evokes the glory days of Belgian architecture: the Art Nouveau style can be found in the artisanal stained-glass windows, the tiled floor with mosaic, the many wood parts, the hat boards in brass, the hand-painted ceramic decorations, ... and the solid wood bar alone, in 'S' shape and with a pewter top in one piece, is definitely worth a visit. When the weather is nice, one can enjoy the beautiful terrace, overlooking the Atomium.

Je réserve pour deux pour 20h30, deux semaines...

Je réserve pour deux pour 20h30, deux semaines auparavant. Finalement nous sommes un peu à l'avance et je téléphone afin de voir s'il est possible de se présenter un peu en avance. Coup de téléphone qui s'avère payant, puisque j'apprends qu'ils ont fermé pour une semaine.

We waren ( met 6 personen) een half uur te...

We waren ( met 6 personen) een half uur te vroeg, volgens onze afspraak, en dat was blijkbaar "not done" in dit restaurant, waar overigens slecht 2 tafeltjes bezet waren. He aperitief werd op tafel gezet, de verdeling ervan werd aan ons over gelaten. De picon au vin blanc was wel heel lekker. We aten de suggestie, asperges flamande, asperges met zalm, een osso buco en een vol au vent. Alles heel lekker, daar zijn geen opmerkingen over. Enkel de norse bediening viel ons erg tegen.

De passage pour la visite des serres royales, nous étions contentes de manger dans ce bel établissement art nouveau. Nous avons malheureusement été très déçues par l'accueil, mais également du temps d'attente. Nous avons attendu 55min pour un américain et un plat de pâtes. Nous avons dû presser le serveur pour recevoir nos plats. Les pâtes sont arrivées à peine cuites, et ils n'avaient pas de mayonnaise dans le restaurant pour accompagner l'américain... Nous avons manger en moins de 10min et n'avons pas eu de geste commercial. Nous ne reviendrons pas dans ce restaurant, et c'est bien dommage vu le potentiel de l'établissement.
