About this restaurant
Kitsch posters of palm trees and sunsets adorn the blue and yellow walls. An oil-black bar and three skai stools occupy the center of the room. Behind, jars of fermented fruit and vegetables rest a wooden cheetah statue and a large terracotta pot. A few cacti scattered here and there recall memories of South America. The high tables and chairs are deliberately mismatched. Small wooden tables sit alongside colorfully patterned fabric benches. There are beaded curtains in front of the toilet door, where a Virgin hand-painted on the ceramics on the wall pulls out all the stops. The decor is deceptively indolent, but we love it. Only here, we have the sensation of plunging into a real Mexican street cantina. Easy, Amandine, the woman behind the concept, has lived in Mexico for years, and had already opened two restaurants there.
