About this restaurant
Nicky from Leuven
daughter and granddaughter of a true Burgundian family. Her grandfather was a passionate chef who, together with his son Guido, Nicky's father, ran a wholesale butchery in Anderlecht. A real family business, because indeed, the bomma was in charge! After Guido decided to leave the business to pursue his dream, grandfather Bob went back to concentrating on his first love: his wonderful cooking. Nicky's mom loved pastry and baking, and she too had cooking and baking skills in her fingers. Not surprisingly, Nicky was raised in the kitchen with the love of preparing dishes but certainly also with the hard work that a mise-en-place and a service entails.
Luc from Antwerp
son and grandson of a butcher family and graduated as a butcher/traiteur but actually with a love and passion for cooking. Thanks to his mother, Luc also got the love for good food and cozy dining through the bloodstream. So he decided to follow his feelings and started hotel school and additional training such as fusion, vacuum cooking but also desserts do not hold many secrets for him. Afterwards he could enjoy everything the kitchen had to offer him with nice internships in renowned restaurants. After several years of being a home cook he decided to quit this and pursue his big dream together with his other great love Nicky.

Louvain meets Anvers
We didn't know of each other's existence until we ran into each other in 2014, and yes you can guess, in the kitchen. Before we knew it, the spark jumped! (And no, it didn't come from the gas fire)
That's when our story started.
Together we have already realized a lot but there was still one big dream, our own little restaurant. Tasty dining with honest products in a contemporary and cosy setting, where we like to receive you in our warm home.
Welcome to Louvain d'Anvers!
