About this restaurant

After almost 12 years, Georges opened his legendary front door, with the typical sound of the latch, once again for everyone to take in the smell of an old village pub in a casual atmosphere. On October 5, 2001, the old village pub "Herberg in de ster" or "Bij Boeres" was revived. The current mayor, Dirk Claes, took the initiative to renovate this authentic village pub expertly and could count on enthusiastic staff. The original bar was restored intact and incorporated into a beautiful practical piece of furniture. The rustic setting was embellished with old photographs and with a number of pieces of furniture that were still there when Georges' café closed in 1989. (1749-1989)
