Restaurant Pieter Pourbus is named after the painter 'Pieter Pourbus', who lived in this house during the period of the'Flemish Primitives'. The cosy restaurant is part of a historic house, built in 1561 and is very well located in the centre of Bruges: at 100 meter from the old theatre and 200 meter from the market square.

The host was very welcoming. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. The meals were excellent, well presented, and my steak and my wife's fish were cooked to perfection. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience I can highly recommend.
