Wij hadden er veel zin in zijn een paar dagen...

Wij hadden er veel zin in zijn een paar dagen in Antwerpen geweest en hadden onze keus op dit restaurant laten vallen. De kaart ziet er goed uit. Na de reservering online lazen wij dat we binnen twee uur klaar moesten zijn wat overigens op de site vanaf vrijdag vermeld staat Wij wilden op donderdag. Liefst 18.00 of 18.30, maar het kon alleen om 17.00 uur. Maar om dan om 1900 uur weer buiten te staan NEE Aangezien het niet goedkoop is daalde ons enthousiasme en hebben meteen geannuleerd,waarna we toch nog twee een herinnering kregen. Jammer wij houden niet van tijdsdruk als we lekker weg zijn.

Nous y avons très bien mangé. Savoureux tartar...

Nous y avons très bien mangé. Savoureux tartare italien et entrecôte fondante + frites maison. Qualité et quantité parfaites. Cerise sur le gateau : l'amabilité et la serviabilité des serveurs. Bravo et merci !

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, with lots of history and interesting displays. The food was good. However, they have "live music" (a girl singing to recorded tracks). This totally ruined the experience for us, for 2 reasons: there was an added charge for the food and drink, which was not identified when the reservation was made, and the music was WAY too loud -- we were on the floor above the singer, and we could not hear ourselves talk, and had to shout to the server. We asked if the music could be turned down, and apparently the "singer" said no. If you are in the mood for a live singer, this may be a good choice for you. If you would like to converse with your dinner companions, then do not go here between 1900 and 2200.

Man scanne die Karte, um auf dem Smartphone eine relativ begrenzte Auswahl zu recht ambitionierten Preisen zu durchsuchen. Personal eher unglücklich, bei Nachbestellen, Individuelle Wünsche besser vermeiden. Die hässliche , zugegeben Deutsche Angewohnheit, Rechnungen separat zu zahlen wurde nur mit großem Widerwillen nachgekommen. Bei fast 200 € Zeche für knapp 1,5 h .... Aber das Ambiente ist schon sehr besonders, ggf. kurz auf ein Bier !
