You and we definitely have 1 thing in common: we love good food ! You can have lunch or dinner in Atelier Maple. This beautiful Art Nouveau building has been renovated with great care and respect for the building. Atelier Maple wants to be more than a place where you can just eat something. Every day, hostess Lynn and chef Timothy give everything of themselves to make you experience a carefree moment in their 'studio'. With a maximum capacity of 20 people, Lynn and Timothy have chosen to keep it personal where everyone can have their own space. The atmosphere is created by beautiful authentic fireplaces with a cozy fireplace. Chef Timothy Tynes (1987) grew up in the big city of Amsterdam. With this cosmopolitan environment and a father who was classically trained in French and also had a passion for Indonesian and Surinamese cuisine, Tynes has been immersed in "all the flavors of the world" since childhood. In his studio, Tynes tries to create unique dishes , dishes that are each unique in their own way, with depth and flavor. The latter, is a 1 of the key ingredients in his studio: If the taste is not right, it stops immediately for Tynes. Another ingredient is PASSION: Working on your craft day in and day out, wanting to perform and create better every day than yesterday. Tynes learned the trade from grandmasters such as Sergio Herman (pure C), Kobe Desramaults (in de Wulf), Olly Ceulenaere (Publiek) and Luc Vermeir ('t fornuis). The latter was his first chef, the first teacher who watched over this young up-and-coming chef in the kitchen like a father figure. Hostess Lynn Van Vaerenbergh (1992) grew up in Neder-Over-Heembeek. With a father who is self-employed, it was soon clear that this young lady would follow in his footsteps. She studied at the Maria Assumpta Lyceum in Laken as a beautician. After graduating, she started her own business. Lynn also had a passion for working with people and soon she joined the hospitality industry. After 7 years of self-employment and part-time work in the hospitality industry, the hostess thought it was time to start their own story together with Chef Tynes.

Prima ontvangst. We aten à la carte en vroegen bijpassende wijnen bij de gekozen gerechten. De amuses bij de bubbels waren werkelijk pareltjes en de gerechten stuk voor stuk top! De wijnen pasten er fantastisch bij. Een iets duurdere prijsklasse maar het was het waard. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

I enjoyed very much, however my wife was disapp...

I enjoyed very much, however my wife was disappointed, possibly her expectation were set to high for this price and reviews we read. When we arrived we were offered drinks for start, and we chose bubble as was suggested, it appeared to be Champaign for 21€ glass (we expected Cava or maybe prosecco or at least be warned what is bubbles for today), bottle was already opened. We went for 5 course, and in this extra dish my wife got shrimp intestines still present…chef came personally to apologize and offered a new portion, but we didn’t take it as we still had main dish and dessert to try (everything remained in our bill). Unfortunately we can’t say that food was amazing as price/quality don't mach on our opinion, however this is a subjective feedback based on our experience and expectations. Service was professional.

We waren al verschillende malen bij atelier...

We waren al verschillende malen bij atelier maple geweest. Ik was een beetje teleurgesteld ik vond de service niet top - potjes amuze werden half afgeruimd, , op de salade van tartaar vonden we blaadjes van sla, weinig meerwaarde en weinig finesse, het kalfsvlees was super maar de extra zwezerik was gigantisch - de tuinbonen vonden we onder het kalfsvlees, geplet. de 4e persoon van ons gezelschap moest zijn crepes suzette vragen ( vergeten) De crepes Suzette méritte le détour! heel de koekenkar trouwens over het algemeen vond ik de gerechten getuigen van weinig finesse ( ik was de afgelopen weken vrij veel gaan dineren en en vergelijk natuurlijk)

Het was een mooie zonnige avond, maar de jonge...

Het was een mooie zonnige avond, maar de jonge dame in de bediening had niet veel zin om het zonnetje in huis te zijn. De gastvrouw kwam later op de avond wel wat meer aan onze tafel en dat hielp maar dan was het kwaad al geschied. Het is ook fijn om een avondvullend menu te hebben maar om 19:00 starten om pas tegen 22:45 het dessert krijgen (in een 5 gangen menu) is wat van het goede teveel.
