Restaurant De Huifkar has been the epicenter in Koksijde for almost forty years when it comes to affordable gastronomy. Chef Ronny and hostess Ann make sure every day that quality, service and welcome are paramount. Moreover, the couple makes it a point of honor to only serve fresh products. Want to taste? If fish lovers are at their feast with cod preparations, scallops and lobster, then poultry and meat lovers are equally at home. The absolute culinary highlight of the house is lobster with lemon butter, a delicacy based on a unique recipe from Chef Ronny, assisted at the kitchen by his son Bas who clearly follows in his father's footsteps. In the game season, Chef Ronny is at his best with pheasant, partridge or roebuck. The undeniable trump cards of the house are however: generous portions at democratic prices.
