About this restaurant
Francesca Sterckx was born on 26 October 1988 in Diest. At the age of 20 she took her first steps in the hospitality industry at Hotelschool Ter Duinen in Koksijde. Here she learned all the tricks of the trade and followed an extra year of specialty restaurants and world cuisine. She then followed a one-year specialization in pastry and chocolate making at Ter Groener Poorte in Bruges. She did internships in the kitchens of : - Maison Bru (Wout Bru, Eygalières, France) - MOO (Barcelona, Spain) - Arrop (Valencia, Spain) - Hof ter Hulst (Hulshout, Belgium). After all this gained knowledge, she worked in following starred establishments: - The Garden Room (Beerzel) - The Eyckerhof (Bornem chef De Becker) - T Fornuis (Antwerp chef Johan Segers). After 5 years she is now starting a new challenge in her career. With the opening of her own bistro Mistinguett, Fran has found a place where she can creatively transform all those years of experience into delicious dishes.
