Welcome to the Elfde Gebod! The Eleventh Commandment (Het Elfde Gebod) is a unique restaurant-café in the old town of Antwerp, Belgium. It has a spectacular interior decked with angels, saints, pulpits and several deliciously sacrilegious visual jokes. We serve local Belgian cuisine and a big variety of famous beers. Beers include the local Koninck, Trappiste Westmalle dubbel, St. Bernardus Abt 12 and much more. The restaurant-café is located next to the The famous Cathedral of our Lady (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal). The ancient religious statues are in style with the Kathedral right across the street and the place has a long history. It is a must-see place when visiting Antwerp and it is mentioned in many tourist guides. It is the place everyone remembers form Antwerp. "The Eleventh Commandment" – this is to eat well, drink a lot of tasty beer and have lots of fun. So in general: YOU SHALL ENJOY!

Prachtige, sfeervolle ambiance. Vriendelijke bediening en het eten was goddelijk om in de stijl van het restaurant te blijven. O ja, mooie live muziek erbij. Top restaurant!

Très bon repas, copieux, personnel très agréabl...

Très bon repas, copieux, personnel très agréable et service rapide. Le cadre est très particulier et vaut le coup d’œil. La musique était un peu trop forte et c'était gênant pour parler.

Als je in België bent eet je stoofvlees. Wij maken dit zelf thuis ook regelmatig. De stoofvlees die wij hier kregen was heel erg droog en qua smaak viel het enorm tegen. En voor 28 euro per portie mag ik wel zeggen dat het tegengevallen is. Verder leuke lokatie. Alleen maakt het het niet waar.

The staff is excellent. We were early and somehow the front person found a place to sit then arranged we could sit as reserved an hour early. It was cold out and much appreciated. I observed staff being very engaged with patrons and could see in the kitchen the cooks also having a good time. Everyone seemed happy to be there. The mood was great and our mussels excellent. Made for a very nice dinner
