Welcome to the Elfde Gebod! The Eleventh Commandment (Het Elfde Gebod) is a unique restaurant-café in the old town of Antwerp, Belgium. It has a spectacular interior decked with angels, saints, pulpits and several deliciously sacrilegious visual jokes. We serve local Belgian cuisine and a big variety of famous beers. Beers include the local Koninck, Trappiste Westmalle dubbel, St. Bernardus Abt 12 and much more. The restaurant-café is located next to the The famous Cathedral of our Lady (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal). The ancient religious statues are in style with the Kathedral right across the street and the place has a long history. It is a must-see place when visiting Antwerp and it is mentioned in many tourist guides. It is the place everyone remembers form Antwerp. "The Eleventh Commandment" – this is to eat well, drink a lot of tasty beer and have lots of fun. So in general: YOU SHALL ENJOY!

There is no paper menu, only digital with an app. You must make an account first with your email adress. We don’t like to do that! Although we made reservations, the table got was not nice situated. We did not order and left the restaurant.

Die Deko im Raum war einmalig, das Essen gut, die Bedienung sehr nett. Was aber gar nicht in Ordnung war, nach Trinkgeld zu fragen und als Option 10, 15 und 20% anzubieten, vor allem da Belgien kein Land mit Teinkgeld ist.
