Het scheelde niet veel of we hadden ontevreden iets anders gezocht. Bij aankomst werden wij doorverwezen naar een geheel andere locatie. Aldaar moest men nog een tafel voor ons gereed maken. De locatie was zeker niet minder maar de luidruchtige live zangeres maakte al gesprek onmogelijk. Terug naar de oorspronkelijke locatie gaf men aan dat me dacht dat wij kwamen op een voucher. Vreemde reactie. Wij kwamen niet op een voucher en werden met open armen ontvangen. Passende muziek, heerlijke sfeer en goede bediening. En bovenal goed eten en een fijne wijn. Prijzen tikken aan de bovengrens van acceptabel.

First of all: we booked a table at Elfde Gebod which is a known place at a known location, but we received a confirmation for Elfde Gebod ‘Riverside’ which we mentioned only later. As we booked for a group of musicians having a concert in Carolus, closely Torfbrug, we wanted to make sure to reach in time because the concert was at 20:00. Therefore we’ve been calling at least 20 times to both the land line mentioned on Google Maps and the mobile number mentioned in the reservation system. Finally we were lucky to get a woman on phone confirming Torfbrug and confirming that we could rest assured that we would be able to order before 22:00. So after the concert, the singers rushed to the location but got the message that they were 15 minutes late (21:45, even before that), so kitchen closed.
