About this restaurant
The Brussels catering landscape has a new classic café. Brasserie Ommegang is a charming establishment with a typical Brussels grandeur. Moreover, it is based on a famous event of the Brussels cultural heritage: the Ommegang, the annual commemoration of the entry of Charles V in Brussels in 1549. The place is entirely decorated in the style of a classical brasserie with characteristic high ceilings and it hosts here and there elements related to the Ommegang, tastefully integrated. The entrance, for example, is covered with golden coins bearing the image of Charles V and the stilts on the ceiling are eye-catching. The impressive color reproduction of a medieval portrait of Charles V also decorates the building. Above the central space is a mezzanine where small groups can sit in a more intimate setting. They can sit in beer barrels, converted into comfortable seats. On sunny days you can enjoy the atmosphere around the Grand Place with its street artists and others. In addition to a complete menu of all the beers of the Haacht Brewery, we offer a varied restaurant menu where you can find the typical Belgian dishes but also a large choice of meats, fish and salads. Every day we welcome you in a cosy setting where a discreet and varied musical atmosphere reigns and on Friday and Saturday evenings, our pianist will take you to the liking of his inspiration. The Brasserie Ommegang is located at number 4 rue de la Montagne and is open from 11 am to midnight minimum (kitchen open non-stop from noon to midnight).
