Le conteur is a rare Brussels restaurant where they actually spend on design. The food is too salty and failure to prepare chickpeas properly resulted in gastric terrorism and indigestion problems. We were 5 people and all of us had issues after the dinner. Tthis is a no go for a bill of almost 300 EUR. so the restaurant really needs to take care of how it cooks the various plates
La nourriture était vraiment excellente, même si 70 % des plats étaient des mezzés avec des variations sur l'houmous. Il aurait été préférable d'ajouter un plat de viande ou quelque chose de complètement différent. Le patron nous a expressément suggéré de lui faire savoir si nous voulions un plat spécifique. Un invité a demandé le haloumi et a reçu la réponse qu'il était prévu parmi les plats, mais il n'est jamais arrivé. Le partage des plats entre collègues aurait dû se faire avec une cuillère de service dans le plat et chacun une petit assiette devant lui. Le dessert était certainement très difficile à manger ensemble. Manger dans la même assiette ne se fait pas dans un contexte professionnel, ce qui a posé quelques problèmes à certains. Bien que l'ambiance ait été très appréciée et constitue une valeur ajoutée, la musique était beaucoup trop forte. La même approche, mais un peu moins forte, serait bien meilleure. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons été très satisfaits. La qualité de la nourriture et des boissons est très élevée et l'approche thématique a été appréciée.
We had a table for 2 on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, the evening was very entertaining. The waiters are very nice, they will explain the concept and will try to do their best to bring you something to eat. Because this was my second time here I knew I had to order everyhting in one go and food will come - you will not stay hungry. It's a perfect place to go to if you are a bunch of people getting ready for a party. However this is not a place if you are expecting a quiet dining experience.

They rush you in, bring all the food at once instead of coursing it out, servers are unprofessional
