The Volle Gas restaurant boasts a prestigious past. Its history dates back to the post-war years, when Brussels was brusselling... It was already serving beers, gueuses, Faros and lambics. The restaurant has always been characterized by its monumental solid oak bar, made up of 820 pieces assembled on site by a cabinetmaker. The public also flocks to admire the famous stained glass window above the podium at the rear of the restaurant. This stained glass window is the work of Master Glassmaker Pierre Majérus. Then came the famous Pol, who made Volle Gas the temple of Brussels jazz. Today, the setting remains unique, with its wood panelling and old-fashioned posters. The menu offers a fine selection of classic dishes, Belgian specialties, grilled meats, fish, salads, pasta and even vegetarian and children's dishes... With some forty beers on the menu, Volle Gas also remains a Mecca for the national beverage. You can even enjoy a delicious home-brewed beer. The setting, the soul of the place and the quality brewery cuisine have made the Volle Gas a favourite haunt of celebrities from the worlds of cinema, politics and music. "What we love about Volle Gas is its lack of fuss. It's a place where you can eat à la bonne franquette without being in the limelight. Samedi soir, nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux et convivial; le service effectué par une équipe jeune et compétente vous met directement à l'aise. De l'apéritif au dessert, tout s'est passé dans la bonne humeur : que du plaisir ! Nous avons bien apprécié cette brasserie dont le décor nous a ravit.
