A summer evening on the banks of the Leie,on a terrace overlooking the impressive and historic Graslei. Enjoying a refined French cuisine in the most romantic spot of Ghent. In a listed mansion, dating from the 18th century, Allegro moderato has been established for several years. The stately home, whose façade attracts everyone's attention,was a few years ago the meeting place of the guild of the unfree boatmen. The eighteenth-century model murals, together with classical music, take the visitor back in a flash to the time of guilds and crafts.

We he a very nice lunch at the Allegro Moderato. The restaurant is very well located. We sat with a beautiful view of the city right at the window looking at the water. Food and drinks were delightful an overall a great value.The service was great and could answer our question on the old guild house the restaurant is located at. We would return any time we are back in Gent.
