About this restaurant
Come and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner in our historic building. No-nonsense cuisine where everyone feels at home and where you can satisfy your hunger without going home with an empty wallet! Why Clooster and not Klooster? Well, back in the day, when this place was a Convent for the order of black sisters, they wrote Convent. After all, the property has been around longer than our current version of Dutch.

We waren met een grote groep en werden zeer...

We waren met een grote groep en werden zeer warm ontvangen en bediend doorheen de volledige avond ondanks we soms wat luid en zeer aanwezig waren. Het eten was fantastisch en de bediening de gedurende avond van hetzelfde niveau. Chapeau aan het volledige team van het Oud Clooster!

Making the reservation online was super easy....

Making the reservation online was super easy. It was a really nice walk to that side of town a little away from the town (touristy) center. It was really well worth it! My girlfriend had the duck and it was prepared really well and tasted so good. I had the fish stew and loved it even on a hot evening. We saw someone order the beef skewers and they looked really good. Waitstaff was great and accommodating. They had good WiFi too. If there was one thing to improve on…the menu was only in Dutch but we used google translate. Minor issue to say the least. Would definitely come back here if i come back to Ghent in the future.
