About this restaurant
Since childhood, Zino has been passionate about gastronomy and grilling. He got the cooking bug from his father Jean-Pierre Jacobs and the many culinary trips he made during his youth. After his training at Hof ter Duinen, he quickly rose through the ranks as head chef at Indoor Ski Aspen and later KV Mechelen. With grill master Lennox Hastie as a great inspiration, he returned to the roots in 2020. He founded Zcatering, a catering company focused on grilling on wood fire. The concept caught on immediately. Today, he is building a new culinary dream with Ember. Together with his sous-chef and partner, Arthur Doppee, he wants to put Mechelen back on the gastronomic map.
