Restaurant Pieter Pourbus is named after the painter 'Pieter Pourbus', who lived in this house during the period of the'Flemish Primitives'. The cosy restaurant is part of a historic house, built in 1561 and is very well located in the centre of Bruges: at 100 meter from the old theatre and 200 meter from the market square.

We had a wonderful evening here. The food was delicious and the portion more than generous for a really excellent price point. Good selection of local dishes, and a satisfactory wine list. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and is housed the stunning building. I would definitely recommend this for a great night.
